Step #1: Complete Your Anchor Study Abroad Application

The placement process begins once you submit a Anchor application for your dream Anchor internship program. Upon receiving your application, our enrollment team will review your application materials and notify you once you’ve been accepted into the program.

Step #2: Schedule Your Pre-Placement Meeting

Upon acceptance into the program, Anchor staff will contact you with important details about scheduling your pre-placement meeting. This is a specific and essential one-on-one meeting with a staff member at the Anchor center in your host country where you will review your internship goals and explore the local opportunities available to work on your internship placement.

Step #3: Participate in Pre-Departure Advising

While Anchor staff in your host country work on securing your internship placement abroad, U.S.-based Anchor staff will advise you on essential pre-departure tasks including visa support, housing details, and more.

Step #4: Secure Your Personalized Internship Placement

Anchor staff will reach out to local companies and set interviews up on your behalf. You will attend virtual interviews with host companies to finalize your placement before traveling abroad.

Remember, you have 24/7 support on-site! Local staff can provide you with career coaching, troubleshooting any issues, and supplying you with emergency support.

Step #8: Participate in Reviews and Assessments

Be sure to complete your performance reviews and assessments with your supervisor’s help to reflect on your international internship placement and learning outcomes.
